Membrane Floor Heating Cable

Jiahong Membrane Floor heating cable is a twin-conductor constant wattage electric under tile heating cable. It is designed to enable easy installation of the floor heating system. So it normally works with the membrane.

In residential, it is widely used in the living room or bedroom. It is also safe in the bathroom, basement, kitchen room, and other wet locations. The cable is very popular in North America, especially in the USA.

Jiahong Membrane Floor heating cable heats up through the inner conductor. The conductor is also the heating resistance. The Membrane Floor heating cable cannot be cut at the installation site because the length and power of the constant wattage cable are deterministic.

Jiahong Membrane Floor heating cable’s rated voltage is 120V and 240V. In 120V, our regular lengths range from 16.5 to 495 linear feet. For 240V, our lengths range from 33 to 990 linear feet. Its output is 3.7W per feet and the error difference is around minus or plus 10%.

The maximum ambient temperature is 85^oF (30^oC) and the minimum installation temperature is 40^oF (5^oC). The twin-conductor structure allows it to connect to the power from a single connection point.

Jiahong Membrane Floor heating cable is ultra-low EMF (electromagnetic field) by design. The cable consists of two components: Heating Cable and Cold Lead. The Cold lead is 10ft. (3m) the regular electric wire with a plug.

And Heating Cable has 4 layers. The inner conductor is made of tinned copper.

It is not only the conductor but also a heating element. Inner conductor insulation is made of the fluoropolymer. This plastic is resistant to high temperature and pressure.

The plated copper braid increases robust construction, provides the ground path and additional protection in any location. The outer jacket is made of PVC.

No matter the rated voltage (120VAC or 240VAC), Membrane Floor heating cable can be installed in 3 types of line space: 2.4”, 3.6” and 4.8”. Because the floor may heat evenly during this situation.

And we recommend standard cable spacing is 3.6”.  Jiahong Membrane Floor heating cable is generally packed in wooden spools or plastic spools.
