Zhongtai Petrochemical’s annual production of 1.2 million tons PTA project is a milestone project for Xinjiang Zhongtai Group’s entry into the petroleum and natural gas chemical industry chain and a key project in Xinjiang. The project covers an area of nearly 2,000 mu (approximately 133.33 hectares). Construction started in May 2017 with a total investment of over 5 billion yuan. As the world’s first million-ton-scale PTA project built in the inland region, the construction scale of this project is unprecedented.
