Jiahong Snow Melting Cable is a twin conductor constant wattage heating cable. It is designed to provide a heating solution for outdoor applications. Jiahong Snow Melting Cables are widely used on driveways, parking lots, sideways, stairs, ramps, bridges and other outdoor applications in the cold winter.
Jiahong Snow Melting Cable heats up through the inner heating conductor. It requires a thermostat to regulate the output. And it cannot be cut in any circumstances. You can customize 120Vac, 208Vac, 240Vac, 277Vac, 347Vac, 480Vac, and 600Vac rated voltage heating cables. It can also be made to a complete heating mat.
Every Jiahong Heat Cable passes a rigorous quality testing before packing. Meanwhile, they have already been approved by UL, CSA, CE, and EAC.

Snow Melting Heating Cable
Jiahong snow melting heating cable is a twin conductor constant wattage heating cable.
It is designed to provide a flexible option for melting snow and ice on driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, stairs, ramps, bridges and etc.
It is widely used in hot asphalt, concrete, under cobblestones or below slates.
The cables are popular for both the North American Markets and the European Markets.
The regular type for North America is 12W/ft. (40W/M).
Jiahong snow melting heating cable heats up through an inner heating conductor.
The whole cable looks like a complete series resistance, so it cannot be cut at any circumstances.
This twin conductor structure allows the heating cable with a single power connection.
The maximum voltage rating is 600 Vac.
The cable can be made under the rated voltages of 120Vac, 208Vac, 240Vac, 277Vac, 347Vac, 480Vac and 600Vac.
The maximum ambient temperature is 85°F (30oC) and the minimum installation temperature is 40°F (5oC).
Jiahong snow melting heating cable has 6 different layers.
The inner conductor is made of tinned copper.
The conductor insulation is made of XLPE which has a characteristic of better flame retardancy.
It can also be replaced by fluoropolymer.
There is a pairing jacket over the two separate insulations.
It secures two bus wires together. The external shield is made of aluminum foil.
The aluminum foil can absorb all internal electromagnetic radiation.
There is a tinned copper wire between the insulation and aluminum foil.
The wire can be used for grounding protection.
Finally, the cable is covered with a 100% waterproof PVC.
It is the durable and simple structure that allows it to be used for more than 30 years.
Jiahong snow melting heating cables are generally delivered as a complete snow melting mat.
The Snow Melting Mat consists of heating cable and 6m (20ft) cold lead.
The cold lead has solid conductors ensuring fast installation with a clearly visible connection.

You can customize them to any length according to practical requests.
For example, the American Customers prefer the regular lengths from 20ft to 265ft under the rated voltage of 120Vac.

The thermostat can monitor and detect the change in ambient temperature.
And it then adjusts to the change.
Jiahong snow melting heating cable is normally packed in the colored box or white box.
